Applications and Eligibility

Applications are assessed to:

  1. To ensure access for those who require door to door, low floor specialized transportation.
  2. To confirm that the applicant meets Operation Lift criteria.

Operation Lift Criteria:

  • Cannot walk 175 meters (575 feet - about a city block)
  • Cannot climb up or down stairs
  • Cannot use the conventional transit system

Operation Lift does not determine eligibility based on financial status or age.  Physical and cognitive disability and disease related circumstances are all contributing factors in the review.  Health Care Professional information supplied on applications contributes to the decision made by Operation Lift.

Application Assessments

All applications are assessed to determine eligibility.

Assessment and Appeal

Appeal Board review regarding eligibility can be arranged where necessary.
